Welcome to Hasbro

A long time ago in an office far, far away… a young George Lucas signed a contract with a small toy company named Hasbro, giving them the tools to encase his strange, imaginative characters in plastic.

Forty years later and everyone still wants a Boba Fett action figure! (Or, in the above case, Jango Fett)

Standing tall and proud in the center of the main floor of Comic-con this year was the Hasbro booth. Their shelves were lined with the latest in Transformers, My Little Pony and, of course, Star Wars.

It was here that the company eagerly to showcased their latest entry into the franchises toy line: the Black Series. This new line included six-inch figures, nearly twice the size of the original 3-3.25 inch figures. Also drawing the crowds were figures for the popular Rebels animated series.

As the new figures were showcased, fans who weren’t squishing themselves in line to buy exclusives, were frantically taking pictures.

We were lucky enough to talk to Joe Ninivaggi of Hasbro about the new line and what Episode 7 will mean for the franchise. The big day? September 4th, Force Friday

You can check out what he had to say in the video above.

Also check out TheAllience.com and Starwars-figuren.com to see more Hasbro swag!
